Jetscape has announced the placement of two new Embraer E-Jets from its firm order backlog with Embraer on lease to Air Astana of Kazakhstan.

The two new E-190LRs are scheduled for delivery from Embraer and onward lease to Air Astana in March and April 2011.

“After a lengthy and thorough evaluation process, we are delighted that Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s national carrier, has chosen to add Embraer’s E-Jets to its fleet and we are proud to welcome them as a new Jetscape customer,” commented John Evans, Jetscape’s chairman and CEO. “We appreciate Air Astana’s trust in Jetscape and their confidence in the ability of Embraer’s E-Jets to meet Air Astana’s stringent demands for the highest standards of quality, safety and customer service.”

Peter Foster, president of Air Astana added, "The Embraer 190's range, efficiency, size and passenger comfort is ideal for Air Astana and will enable us to further grow our network within Kazakhstan, central Asia and the CIS, as we continue to develop our position as the region's airline of choice in terms of network and service. We expect to expand our E-190 fleet in the future."
