High altitude trials start for Superjet 100
Sukhoi Superjet 100 S/N 95003 has arrived at Shirak Airport, Gyumri, Armenia, for its high altitude flight tests.
At Gyumri (situated at 5000 ft/1524 m), the tests will include assessing takeoff and landing performance as well as climb rate characteristics. The tests will demonstrate the capability of the aircraft to sustain safe takeoff and landing, including missed approach in complicated natural conditions. Simultaneously, this test series aims to evaluate main aircraft systems performance, with special focus on engine and auxiliary power unit operation.
