Boeing has delivered four 737-900ER (Extended Range) aeroplanes to Lion Air for deployment to increase frequencies on existing routes and to replace older aircraft in the fleet.

The Indonesian carrier is the launch customer of the 737-900ER and operates an all-Boeing fleet, which includes MD-80s, MD-90s and 747s. However, it is building its fleet of 737s and now has 41 including Classics and Next-Generation models.

Shown here are three of the four airplanes at the 737 Customer Delivery Center at Boeing Field in Seattle being prepared for delivery to Lion Air.
