Baboo announces codeshare with Alitalia

Baboo has signed a codeshare agreement with Alitalia applicable to all Baboo flights to Italy and Alitalia’s Geneva flights.

From now on, the Geneva–Florence, Geneva–Milan, Milan–Marseille, Geneva–Naples, Geneva–Venice and Venice–Nice flights operated by Baboo are on sale with both airlines' flight numbers. As for Geneva–Rome, there are four daily flights each way, two operated by Alitalia and two by Baboo (three flights Saturdays and Sundays). In total, the partnership includes more than one hundred flights per week.

Baboo is thus continuing to follow its alliance strategy and now has five airline partners, namely:
• Air France for flights between Geneva and London City and between Geneva and the French regions
• Olympic Air for Geneva–Athens and Nice–Athens flights
• Tarom for flights between Switzerland and Romania
• Darwin for Geneva–Lugano flights

This winter season, 98% of Baboo flights are now codeshared with one of the partners. The schedule includes a total of 264 flights per week and 20 routes, of which 186 flights are operated by a Baboo aircraft and 78 are operated by one of the partners.

“Italy is one of Baboo’s main markets and we are particularly keen to provide services to and from that country. So we are very pleased to enter into an alliance with Alitalia, Italy's major airline and to be able to offer our customers an attractive schedule with more and more flights” remarked Jacques Bankir, CEO of Baboo.
