airBaltic will launch nonstop flights from Riga to both Frankfurt, Germany, and the Polish capital, Warsaw, on 17 September.

The Frankfurt service, which is the airline’s sixth nonstop destination in Germany, will offer nonstop flights on a daily basis – seven flights per week in total. Passengers will travel on Boeing 737s for a flight that will last for 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Flights from Riga to Warsaw will also be offered every day using Fokker 50 aircraft on the one hour 40 minute flight.

Tero Taskila, chief commercial officer of airBaltic, remarked, “We’re delighted that by opening the routes to Frankfurt and Warsaw, we will be allowing an increasing number of people to enjoy the airline’s vast network of routes and the low prices which apply to the purchase of a flight plus hotel accommodations.”

Other destinations which airBaltic has started offering from Riga this year include Turku (Finland), Tromsø (Norway), Palanga and Kaunas (Lithuania), Tartu (Estonia), Pskov (Russia), Geneva (Switzerland), and Dushanbe (Tajikistan).
