Air Berlin is San Francisco-bound

Air Berlin is extending its range of long-haul flights from Düsseldorf to North America with the addition for summer 2010 of a service to San Francisco for the first time.

From May 2010, Air Berlin will be offering two flights a week to the Californian city. There will again be daily flights to New York and three flights a week to Los Angeles. Air Berlin usually suspends these services during the winter schedule.

There will be five flights a week to Miami during the summer. Air Berlin passengers will now be able to take off for Fort Myers on four days a week. The airlnie is also offering two weekly non-stop flights from Düsseldorf to Vancouver. Airbus A330s with a capacity of 303 seats, 24 of them in Business Class, are used on the North American routes.
