Eurosatory 2012: FN Herstal launches new tactical rifle

Belgium-based arms manufacturer FN Herstal will use the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris on 11 June to unveil a tactical version of its SCAR-H precision rifle.

The SCAR-H was first introduced in late 2011 but the new TPR (for Tactical Precision Rifle) variant provides a range of additions.

These include a non-foldable ‘sniper-type’ stock, which is adjustable in length by ten positions and height by eight positions. The company believes this will allow operators to more easily accommodate their body armour, web gear and head position when using iron or optical sights.
