Kongsberg Mesotech launches maritime security sonar
Kongsberg Mesotech has introduced the M3 MARSEC Shallow-Water Maritime Security Sonar System, a new bundled system developed to meet the needs of customers who require a rapid deployment turn-key system for maritime security.
The plug-and-play M3 MARSEC has been designed for a number of applications, including berth clearance, hull inspection, structure inspection, unexploded ordinance (UEXO)/IED detection, body and evidence recovery as well as diver detection and supervision.
The system utilises the Mesotech M3 MultiMode Multibeam Sonar, which produces high-quality imaging records and 3D profiling data using the same sonar head.
It includes all required sensors for deployment, and has been designed for rapid installation, operation and removal using vessels of opportunity.
