The subcontracts, valued at $57 million, are provided as a requirement from ERAPSCO's five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. ERAPSCO will provide production subcontracts valued at $32.6 million to Sparton DeLeon Springs and $24.4 million to Ultra Electronics USSI.

Rakesh Sharma, CEO, Ultra Electronics, said: 'This contract is a reflection of the increased focus on anti-submarine warfare and 'pivot to the Pacific' spoken about by the US Navy.'

ERAPSCO is a joint venture between Sparton and Ultra Electronics USSI for design, development and manufacturing of US Navy sonobuoys and transducers. Sonobuoy TechSystems operates under this company for all ITAR approved International sales and technical support of US specification sonobuoys.
