Thales offers Link 16 alternative

Thales is offering a tactical datalink solution to countries that find themselves unable to take advantage of systems such as Link 16.

The Multi-Function Tactical Data-Link Range Extension is not only able to deliver the tactical data required by commanders but it’s high bandwidth means it could also be used in conjunction with mission systems to download images and stream video.

The capability is thanks to Thales’ NextWave radio transceiver system which not only capable of delivering the data but will also interface with satellite communications systems if the platform moves out of normal radio communication not only to guarantee
