Rafael to lead Israel CERT
Rafael Advanced Defense Systems has been selected to head Israel's Computer emergency Response Team (CERT) programme, the company announced on 30 June.
The company will be the prime contractor for the programme, with EMC, IBM, Matrix and Cisco serving as programme partners. These companies will work together to develop defence and security capabilities to detect, monitor and handle cyber threats on behalf of the Israeli government.
The programme will combine various tools and IT infrastructure to aid government offices and civilian companies in handling and preventing cyber attacks.
Brig Gen (ret.) Ariel Karo, head of C4I and cyber directorate, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, said: 'Our solution is conceptually unique, and is designed to analyse and suit the proper mode of operation to the most complex threats in the global cyber arena.'
