RAF will lead future ISTAR efforts

The head of the Royal Air Force (RAF) says the air arm should play a leading role in future ISTAR gathering efforts and cyber warfare.

Speaking to the IISS think-tank in London on 15 February, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton defended the role of the service after questions were raised in recent weeks about whether the UK might still have three armed services in the coming decades.
