Farnborough: MBDA outlines STRATUS vision

MBDA has revealed a command and control (C2) concept as part of its future development effort stretching out to 2035.

At the Farnborough Airshow, the company outlined its CVW101 STRATUS C2 system which ensures that weapon systems are controlled in a more flexible way offering the most appropriate response in the future battlespace.

Sandro Petrizzelli, project lead at MBDA, said that the key point of the new STRATUS system is to ‘improve collaboration between weapon systems belonging to any domain: land, sea or air’.

The main feature of STRATUS includes a resource sharing principle which operates over a fully distributed
