Standardisation, Codification and Decision Support workshops to run across the afternoons of November 29th and 30th.

Workshop 1 – Data Quality and the Supply Chain
This workshop will focus on what codification is, why it’s so important to efficient end to end running of the supply chain and what measures are in place to ensure the highest possible quality of data and the information that drives.

Workshop 2 – Demanding by the numbers
Following on from the creation of a NATO Stock number, a look at the importance of the information in the deployed space, from identification, receipting in and the process of creating an emergency NSN for items that fall through the cracks and arrive in Theatre without an NSN.

Workshop 3 – Can you ID your item?
Getting kit into theatre is often only half the battle in a modern supply chain operation fiscally responsible to the taxpayer. Codification forms a key role in asset tracking equipment already. The NATO Codification Community is working in partnership with PTs and industry in an effort to harness the potential of Unique Item Identification (UID) which if successful will greatly improve the reverse supply chain.
